Our story

From a young age, I have always had a love for dogs. I got my very first dog of my own at the age of 16: a Beagle named Sam. She was a former laboratory dog who, at the age of 2, was given the chance to start a new chapter in her life. My love for animals only grew stronger. When I moved in with my partner Karst, Dex and Ties came into our lives (two mixed breeds, both with health issues). During that time, I also started teaching puppy training classes. I did this for 10 years and taught many different breeds. To further expand my knowledge, I completed a course with Anniek Winters and recently started a course Dog Fitness.

Welsh Springer Spaniels

After Dex and Ties, we wanted a 100% purebred dog to reduce the risk of health problems. In 2019, our choice fell on a Welsh Springer Spaniel named Nora. There was no turning back… The seed had been planted, and both my husband and I fell in love with the breed. In 2020, due to circumstances, Nomi joined us as well, and she also stole our hearts.

Van Sminiastate

Living on a farm with plenty of space in and around our home, the idea started to grow… We want to share our love for the breed! In early 2021, Nora was approved, as was our kennel name. A dream became reality. We hope to enjoy this beautiful breed for many years to come.
